The University is at risk of missing its Annual Giving (AG) and Aspire capital campaign goals because of the economic downturn, Vice President for Development Brian McDonald ’83 said on Tuesday.

He noted, however, that the University has not yet revised either target, adding that he remains optimistic in spite of challenges."

In a letter posted on the foundation's Web site, Chief Executive Officer Jeff Raikes said payouts will grow by about 10 percent in 2009, a smaller growth than previously planned.

The foundation projects it will make about $2.8 billion in grants in 2008, The Seattle Times reports."

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2009, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (also vans, pickups, or panel trucks) will be:
