A total of 99 birdwatchers gathered in Berrien County last Saturday for the 22nd annual Southwest Michigan Team Birdathon, organized by Love Creek Nature Center and Berrien County Parks.

Event coordinator Kip Miller said the teams together generated $38,875 in pledges for a variety of local and regional nature and conservation organizations."
