Saratoga 6-year-old raises $1,500 for charity - San Jose Mercury News: "Being awarded $1,000 for your favorite charity is pretty heady stuff, especially when you're only 6 years old.

For Kami Richardson of Saratoga, the award — which came courtesy of the Disney Company — capped two full years of dedicated volunteerism. At an age when few of her peers are thinking beyond the next recess bell, Kami finds satisfaction in helping others."

How wonderful! It is amazing to see such a young child even understanding the concept of charity.
