The Diamondback - Univ. encourages students to fundraise

The Diamondback - Univ. encourages students to fundraise: "As part of an ongoing push to encourage student philanthropy, the university is offering incentives to student groups working on projects that will benefit the university as a whole.

After signing up on the university’s website at www.umd.edu/umnews/challenge.cfm, student groups will have until April 16 to meet three fundraising benchmarks, Coordinator of Student Philanthropy Alison Taylor said. They will receive $500 toward their causes for recruiting 100 volunteers, $500 for finding 100 donors and an additional $500 for every $1,000 they collect."
