Last week, the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund announced that contributions in the first quarter of 2010 to the Gift Fund (as you know, a 501(c)(3) entity) rose 109 percent compared to the same period last year (from $129m to $270m) and grants from the donor-advised funds at Fidelity to charities were up 35 percent (from $199m to $269m)."
