Investors turning their attention to non-profits

Investors turning their attention to non-profits: "The Arizona group targets Maricopa County non-profit groups serving children and education. Partners do a businesslike 'due diligence' on potential investments, then pick a handful of 'investees' to receive money and expertise for up to five years.

The group favors non-profits just a few years old with annual budgets of less than $3 million. That's where SVP Arizona, whose grants average $30,000 a year, can make the biggest impact, executive director Terri Wogan said."
