While the life stories of Kentuckians who give through the Community Foundation of Louisville may not be quite as exhilarating as the philanthropist in the TV show, their thoughtful philanthropy is critical, poignant, effective and life-changing. In 2008, the donors of the 1,100 philanthropic funds in the Community Foundation recommended more than 7,300 grants totaling $28 million to help support needs in our city, commonwealth and nation."
