November 3, 2004- More than $240 billion has already been given to charity this year, which is four times more than the net assets that flowed into mutual funds.
And with over 85% of Americans supporting non-profit organizations, and many clients becoming more interested in charitable giving, registered investment advisers can add value for their high-net-worth clients wanting to donate to their charities of choice.
'There are key points one needs to know about charitable-giving,' noted Jon Skillman, president at Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, a donor-advised fund (DAF). And as such, he offers some tips to assist donors in creating a strategic plan for gift giving this season"
