Designing and Evaluating Your Mentoring Program: Good mentorship program design and matching is crucial to the effectiveness of mentorship relationships. Research by Ragins, Cotton and Miller (2000) found that program design has a direct impact on the mentee's:
Career commitment (commitment to working in a specific field/sector)
Job satisfaction
Satisfaction with opportunities for promotion
Organizational commitment
Satisfaction with procedural justice (how policies are implemented by the organization)
Organization-based self-esteem (self-esteem specific to their job and role with the organization)
Intentions to quit
