Survey finds Rockland nonprofits have $1 billion economic impact | lohud.com | The Journal News: "STONY POINT - The economic impact of Rockland not-for-profit agencies that deliver social services, enrich the local arts and cultural landscape, and protect the environment was more than $1 billion in 2006, a new survey finds.
The Rockland County Institute for Non-Profits, which advocates for the agencies, used 2006 data to determine the direct and indirect economic impact of local not-for-profit organizations in the county."
