Nonprofit leader round table: Fund-raising strategies change to cope with new economic reality - Ann Arbor Business – MLive.com: "About 60 Washtenaw County nonprofits were surveyed in January by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation to assess the economy's impact on their groups. Results showed:
• 1/3 plan to reduce staff this year.
• 44 percent plan to reduce programming.
• 51 percent expect to generate less revenue than in 2006.
• The average revenue decline from 2006 is forecast at 21 percent.
• Most of the declines (60 percent or more) will be from individual donors and private grants.
• 65 percent rated their governing boards as good or excellent at helping their respective groups navigate economic challenges."
