The Enid News and Eagle, Enid, OK - Donations will help get kite event onto record books: "A local effort to set the Guinness world record for number of kites in the sky at one time seems to be taking off.
The event, which is slated for Sept. 10 behind Autry Technology Center, has brought in its first donation of $5,000, said Stan Hicks, Enid Habitat for Humanity board member. The event is a fundraiser for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter."
