Inside autos: Man takes long drive for charity | Detroit Free Press | Freep.com: "But that's what Dave Schaub did, taking off in his 1932 Ford Roadster from Needles, Calif., on Sept. 9, through all 48 contiguous states before ending his trip on Sept. 17 in Hyder, Alaska. He says it took him eight days, 16 hours, 48 minutes at an average speed of 66.7 m.p.h. to cover the 9,856 miles. The drive benefited the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford."
