The National Conference for Community and Justice is facing a crisis at the national level, with both financial and administrative issues that threaten the organization's future.

A report in the Feb. 17 issue of the Chronicle of Philanthropy described a dwindling endowment, the shutdown of more than one-third of the organization's 60 regional offices and the layoff of a quarter of all employees last year at the national office in New York City.
