GULFPORT - Harrah's Entertainment has given office space to six South Mississippi nonprofits for $1 a year rent, allowing the agencies to move out of their temporary trailers.
Board members of the agencies gathered Wednesday at Harrah's operations building on Seaway Road in Gulfport for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to thank the leaders of Harrah's Entertainment for their generosity.
'There is no way to measure what Harrah's has done for us. They were proactive about helping these agencies, they came to us and offered their office space,' said John M. Walton, regional president of Whitney Bank and an agency board member."
