(April 21, 2008) The Chronicle of Philanthropy reports that public confidence in charitable organizations continues to remain low in the post-Sept. 11 era, despite a brief spike in trust in 2006.
According to a survey of Americans commissioned by New York University’s Organizational Performance Initiative, 64 percent of Americans have a “great deal” or “fair amount” of confidence in charities, down from 69 percent in 2006."
