The proportion of adults in Britain who donate more than £5 a year to charity has dropped to its lowest level in three years, a survey has revealed.
Statistics from the British Market Research Bureau show that the figure has fallen from 70 per cent in 2005 to 63 per cent this year."

Hi there, as a UK-based charity, we can totally appreciate the difficulty of UK consumers having less disposable income, therefore donating less to charity. What makes it seem somehow worse is the huge bonuses given to bank bosses who have simultaneously completely ruined the economy AND cost UK consumers more and more taxation in government emergency aid. Our main daily concern is our website, which is a free debt help charity(www.sterlingtrust.org.uk). We are experiencing a larger proportion of of overseas visitors and would really appreciate some feedback as to how relevant the content is to people is the US (given the current climate) and even further afield. We are considering, for example, adding a currency option for dollars/euros etc etc. Any comments appreciated...
