Relay for Life event raises $42K; low turnout hinders fundraising: "Saturday's Relay for Life event, held at the Benesse Oncology Center, drew nine teams, 200 participants and raised $42,000 after expenses.
The turnout was much lower than expected because of the June 7 flash flood that canceled the original event date, but event chairperson Kim Sanders was positive about the outcome."
