Colonial Country Club Charities gives $250,000 to 81 charity groups | Fort Worth | Star-Telegram.com: "The golf club handed out a quarter-million dollars over breakfast Tuesday morning to 81 charities that work with young people, closing out a year in which the Colonial Country Club Charities raised $6.6 million.
That total represents a 57 percent increase over last year’s $4.2 million and a 140 percent increase over 2006, pushing the club and its Crowne Plaza Invitational into the top five PGA Tour events in charity giving."
