Nonprofit consortium to raise funds lost from United Way | Philadelphia Inquirer | 11/11/2009: "Seven of the region's most venerable nonprofit groups have formed an unusual fund-raising consortium in response to the loss last year of United Way support.
The organizations - which include the local branches of the Salvation Army, the YMCA, and the Boy Scouts - will launch a joint marketing effort tomorrow and are exploring cooperation in other areas, as well."
