Charities that follow watchdog rules receive more donations, study shows. | NJ.com: Charities that strictly follow the BBB Wise Giving Alliance guidelines for accountability receive more donations as a result, a new study reports.

Commissioned by the Wise Giving Alliance, the study shows that national charities that followed all 20 standards of the Wise Giving Alliance saw increases of 8 percent in donations. In the New York metro area, the increase was 13.5 percent.
