Powerball Winner to Finance Play at Chicago Theater - The Chronicle of Philanthropy: "Chicago's Goodman Theater will produce a five-hour adaptation of Roberto BolaƱo’s novel “2666” entirely with funds provided by Roy Cockrum, who won a $153-million Powerball jackpot in Tennessee last summer, The New York Times reports. The show is scheduled for the 2015-16 season.
The grant, from the Roy Cockrum Foundation, will be “in the high six or low seven figures," according to the theater. "
