Steinhauser: Local nonprofits now bear a heavier burden

Project based funding works against the long-term success of a mission focused non profit, and the move of the United Way will make it even harder for agencies to find the flexible dollars needed to do good work. I've created a links library at http://www.tutormentorconnection.org/TMLearningNetwork/LinksLibrary/tabid/560/rrcid/8/rrscid/83/rrpid/1/rrepp/20/Default.aspx where I'm collecting articles related to funding of general operations. If you know of such articles or research, or of foundations funding general operations, especially of youth development and mentoring organizations, please add them to the list.
