TWO major events in the Knaresborough calendar could be cancelled this year.
The shock announcement from organisers of both the Great Knaresborough Bed Race and the 10km race in the King James’s School Fun Run means both events are both under threat of cancellation, due to newly-introduced Government legislation.
The news has stunned organisers of the events, each of which attract hundreds of competitors annually from across the district."

To think that an event which gives so much to a market town is to be taken away and no comments have been posted is indeed apathy. Is it a question of 'I don't want to say anything in case someone will hold it against me'syndrome? Two members of my family have at different times taken part in the Bed Race which is an unique event, well supported and gives immense pleasure to watchers and a tremendous achievement for those competing. In addition to which money is collected for charity. Do not miss the chance of voicing an opinion-use it or lose it.
