The concerns over corporate philanthropy are off track. Take those dollars out of the picture for even one year. What would be the impact?
The lack of a strong business community is obvious enough in developing countries. Add business to the picture. Are not the jobs, dignity, and prosperity that result a benefit to society? The public relations that come from corporations giving back to society are a small price to pay. And we should be thankful.
