Charitable giving should be higher -- Paul Stauffacher : Wsj: The Econ Quiz in Friday's Business section indicated that Wisconsin ranks 44th among the states in charitable giving.
What does that say about the philanthropic soul of it's citizens? We're cheap and non-caring. There's no other way to say it.
Ranking 44 out of 50 in charitable giving at 3.7 percent per household says we have a low tolerance for the needs of our fellow man. And this in a state that touts itself as caring for the downtrodden.
