NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--When it comes to philanthropy, Morgan Stanley (MS) says there is a double bottom line: dividends for those the company helps, and dividends for the company itself.

Isabelle Halphen, a vice president in equity research, experienced that balance sheet first hand, along with 35 other employees, by participating in the company's Social Enterprise Strategy Challenge. In the eight-week program, the employees provide pro-bono financial advisory services to nonprofit organizations."
