Randolph College will use $2.68 million donation to fund scholarships | Lynchburg News Advance: "Mary Virginia Whiteside graduated from Randolph Macon Woman’s College more than 50 years before the school went coed and changed its name to Randolph College.
Though Whiteside, class of 1944, initially opposed the change, she left the bulk of her estate – about $2.68 million – to her alma mater when she died in 2007."
