Griego: Black men join force for good: giving circle - The Denver Post: I met Gater and White on Tuesday night at the Denver Foundation's annual celebration. They were talking with Tony Pigford, executive director of Engage 8, a nonprofit in City Council District 8, and Anthony Hicks, a consulting resource analyst for Oracle. The four are among 23 men who make up the new Denver African American Philanthropists giving circle.
"It's a group of men who very strategically want to give back to the community via time, talent and treasure — because it's not all about money," Hicks said.
