In a recent survey of the nonprofit sector, the majority of respondents -- 51 percent -- said that they are not prepared to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley-like regulations currently being proposed by Congress and the Internal Revenue Service. Of those answering the poll question, 'Is your nonprofit prepared to comply with financial regulations if mandated by the U.S. Government?', 49 percent reported they were prepared for compliance measures should they arise. The informal web survey was conducted from March 22 to April 29, 2005 by 'software as a service' provider Kintera(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:KNTA) via its website at www.kintera.com. "
