Nonprofits broaden reach to younger donors: Organizations in West Michigan are reaching out to the next generation of donors by providing multiple and innovative ways for them to get involved. These organizations recognize that young adults are much more willing that the previous generation to roll up their sleeves and get to work rather than simply write a check, said Matthew Downey, nonprofit services program director for the Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University.
