Politics, IRS and NAACP

Politics, IRS and NAACP: "THE INTERNAL Revenue Service's investigation of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People raises serious concerns about free speech and political activism in this country.
The NAACP, the nation's oldest, largest civil rights organization, is being probed by the IRS because the group's chairman, Julian Bond, 'condemned' White House policies last summer. In a speech at the NAACP convention in Philadelphia, Bond criticized Bush on civil rights, education, the economy, jobs and Iraq. "
