Telegraph | Money | Watchdog reports US-style insurance kickbacks

Telegraph | Money | Watchdog reports US-style insurance kickbacks: " British insurance watchdog yesterday admitted that it had received complaints about brokers receiving kickbacks for placing business with insurers.

It follows the assault launched by New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer, who last week accused influential companies of corruption. However, the General Insurance Standards Council said it had not taken the matter further because no one had been willing to table a formal complaint.
