If Ball State University's fraternity system is truly at a crossroads - as a recent Star Press report suggested - then the Greeks have taken the right fork.
Signs indicate that what the fraternity system lacks in numbers - overall membership has declined rapidly in the past decade - it is healthier from the standpoint of understanding its mission and getting back to traditional values.
Recent years have not been kind to BSU fraternities. Financial difficulties have caused some houses to close down, while a few have lost their charters due to hazing or drinking incidents"
